MLS interest in all-time top Italian striker
The MLS is a new destination for Serie A stars.
We wrote earlier that Giovinco's record-breaking contract that saw his passage to Toronto FC may be more than a "bloody big deal", it may have begun a new trend.
Giovinco's agent, Andrea D'Amico has started to test the ground for the transfer of another Italian, Udinese striker Antonio Di Natale.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Di Natale received an offer from an MLS side for €8 million over two years. It is unknown at this time which team has made the offer.
“Di Natale is a footballing genius. He probably deserved a different career. He payed for his lack of personality, even in the national team. The weight of the jersey was too much. A player like him would be perfectly suited to the MLS”, D'Amico told Sky Sport Italy.
