As reported earlier this week, Sebastian Giovinco's agent Andrea D'Amico was in Toronto, planning his client's next move.  With Giovinco's anticipated passage to Toronto FC in July, the diminutive striker could have been turned into a "lame duck" in Turin.  That situation turned into an opportunity for all parties involved: a January departure would save Juventus a little over €1 million of Giovinco's salary, and Toronto FC would have the player for the beginning of the season which would benefit the club in terms of sporting and marketing outcomes. The saga regarding Giovinco seems to have come to a conclusion. Earlier today we reported that Giovinco was offered a pharaonic two-year €6 million per season contract. Thereafter, sources close to Giovinco's family relayed news to Catenaccio-NA this afternoon that Giovinco accepted TFC's offer. Following that, the news was recently confirmed by Sportsnet's John Molinaro. The same sources told Catenaccio-NA that the atomic ant's agent Andrea D'Amico is expected in Toronto on Tuesday or Wednesday to discuss contract details. Giovinco will move to the MLS on a free transfer after the expiry of his current contract that will end in June 2015.
